The Enhanced Wellness Living Blog

Real questions. Root-cause answers.

This is where Enhanced Wellness Living answers the questions patients ask most. Every article is written or reviewed by our clinical team in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and every one starts with a real question rather than a topic.

Pick the category that sounds like what you are dealing with.

How It Works

Same questions, more room to explain

Think of it as two layers. Our FAQ page carries the short, direct answers, sized to read in under a minute. This blog is where we go deep: the why behind the answer, what the labs show, and what you can actually do about it.

What We Cover

Six topics, root causes first

Fatigue and Energy

Why you are tired when your labs say you should not be. Articles on adrenal and cortisol patterns, thyroid function, iron and nutrient status, and sleep. For the person who has been told everything looks fine. Feeds the Comprehensive Wellness Program.

Hormones and Perimenopause

What is actually happening between your late thirties and your sixties, and what can be done about it. Articles on perimenopause, menopause, hormone testing, and hormone support. For women who no longer recognize themselves. Feeds the Comprehensive Wellness Program and Women’s Sexual Wellness.

Gut and Digestive Health

Digestion is usually the foundation, and it is where a great deal of dysfunction starts. Articles on food sensitivity, bloating, inflammation, and the gut’s role in everything else. For anyone who feels worse after eating. Feeds the Comprehensive Wellness Program.

Hair Health

Why hair thins and what your hair is telling you about the rest of your body. Articles on nutrient deficiency, hormones, stress shedding, and scalp health. For anyone finding more hair in the shower than usual. Feeds DERIVE Hair Restoration.

Sexual Wellness

The concerns most people never raise with a doctor, addressed plainly. Articles for both men and women on comfort, function, bladder control, and the hormone connection underneath all of it. Feeds Men’s and Women’s Sexual Wellness.

Food First

Recipes and nutrition guidance rooted in the principle this clinic was built on in 2004. Practical, Mississippi realistic, and written for people with actual schedules. Feeds the Comprehensive Wellness Program.

Understanding Your Labs

What your results mean, what normal range actually measures, and which markers matter. For the person holding a lab report nobody explained. Feeds the Comprehensive Wellness Program, and it is the highest intent category on this list.

Where Are The Articles?

We’ll be honest about where things stand

Our article library, built over 20 years of practice, is being rewritten into this question-first format, and each article reappears here as it’s finished. New posts publish here as they’re ready, so this page keeps growing.

In the meantime, the short answers to our most-asked questions are already live on our FAQ page, and you can hear Kelly go deep on the podcast.

Questions

About the blog.

Who writes the EWL blog?

Kelly Engelmann, FNP-BC, founder of Enhanced Wellness Living, together with our clinical team. Kelly has practiced functional and integrative medicine in Ridgeland since 2004, and every post reflects what actually happens in patient care here.

How often do you publish new posts?

New posts publish here as they’re written, and we’re moving our full article library into the new question-and-answer format at the same time, so the page grows steadily. Between posts, the podcast releases new episodes monthly.

Can I ask a question for the blog to answer?

Yes, and we hope you will. Bring your question to your complimentary discovery call, or send it through our contact page. The questions patients ask us are exactly where our best posts come from.

Reading is a good start. A conversation is better.

If an article described your situation closely, that is worth a phone call.
A complimentary 15-minute call with a member of our clinical team costs nothing.
